Mission statement

 

Our mission is to provide ongoing information and community education in diabetes mellitus by advocating for daily exercise and food modifications in the diets of adults and kids. The overall goal is to combine resources with other agencies to reduce diabetes mellitus in public and private schools by 10% percent over the next 5 years in the state of Georgia.

 

  • Host diabetes forum on good nutrition in preventing diabetes at healthcare  local community centers
  • Run a marathon on every continent promoting exercise as a valuable means of reducing diabetes and promoting diabetes awareness
  • Host annual food diabetes workshop featuring the top chefs in the state
  • Lobby at the State of Georgia for legislation on diabetes awareness in public schools.
